Catch The Producers in Raleigh this Weekend

If you’re looking for some comedic live theatre in the Raleigh area, then head on down to Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts to catch Mel BrooksThe Producers the musical!

Based on the Mel Brook’s movie of the same name, which played in 1968, the tale tells of a down and out producer who writes the worst screen play in the history of movie script writing and then continues to attempt of conning two old ladies out of two million dollars.

The Producers has been enjoying a nice run on Broadway since it’s opening on April 19th 2001 at the St. James Theatre located at 246 West 44th Street. The production is considered an original musical comedy and critics as well as audiences agree the Mel Brooks classic holds up its end of the laughter which is expected and promised. The show runs for two hours and forty minutes with one intermission.
